Bree Nicole Turner was born in Palo Alto, California, March 10, 1977. She graduated from Monte Vista High School in Danville, California in 1995. During her teenage years, she developed a passion for dancing from ballet to jazz. Later she enrolled at the King’s College in London and at University of California, Los Angeles, to study dance.
In LA, she was discovered by a dance agent, which landed her roles as a dancer in high profile films such as My Best Friend’s Wedding (1997), She’s All That (1999) and The Big Lebowski (1998), among others. In 1999, she was cast on MTV’s late night anthology series, Undressed. Turner played recurring roles on Moesha, Spin City, plus Cold Case, Las Vegas, and Ghost Whisperer. In film, she appeared in Just My Luck (2006), The Ugly Truth (2009), among others.
In 2012, she landed the role of Rosalee Calvert on NBC’s Grimm. She joined the cast as a series regular for season 2.
Turner married Orthopaedic Surgeon Justin Saliman in 2008 and has a daughter and a son.
Fun facts:
During the end of season 1 and first part of season 2 of Grimm, she was pregnant with her son Dean, who was born in September 2012.
She was a competitive roller skater and a professional dancer.
Her father is a former pro-football player for the Washington Redskins.
